When you enter the 6000 square foot store in downtown Milton, you’re not entering a typical retail environment. The mission at Bergsma’s is to

on our laurels going forward” says Jeff Bergsma, who started Bergsma’s, in Milton, 25 years ago. Taking the experience of growing up in Dad’s
paint store in Georgetown, the Bergsma’s have expanded into what has become more of a home décor centre. “Let’s face it, very few people
decorate because they have to. They paint, or replace a light, or update a piece of furniture because they want to. They want to make the bathroom feel warm or bedroom feel calm, or make the living room look nice. When things look better it makes people feel better, so you could say we are in the business of making you feel better.”
